Quindalup Toddler Room News November 2017

Our emergent curriculum continues with our pet focus currently; thanks to the families who have already given us a photo of your pet for our wall. The children love looking at them. Please also send along a family photo too; this promotes a feeling of belonging and helps with settling children when they feel sad. To be able to see their family is comforting to them.

Thank you  to those families who attended our open day. We hope you enjoyed spending time with your child and looking at their profile folder with them. We regularly update your child’s profile folder with learning stories, observations and artwork. As we are trying to be sustainable, we no longer photocopy them and put them in the pockets in the hallway. Please take some time to have a look at your child’s learning journey with them.

On 1st November we walked to the pre-school to see the chickens that they have. The children walked slowly but surely through the gate and were very excited to see the hens scratching around. Some great conversations were born from this, be sure to ask your child about it.

From the toddler team, Kaye, Belinda and Lucy.
